Few words....
On 24th February,2007.. when for the first time I placed my ideas in the form of a blog page (at that time I was an immature blogger and i have a different blog page and hosted somewhere else) I was not sure wheather it will be accepted or not.Initially many of my friends visited my blog page and just gave me general comments like- you are doing a good job…later on I received a good response specially from my friend circle regarding its improvement …and that propelled me to proceed further …I am thankful to those who encouraged me utilizing their precious time and it is only their encouragements and inspiring words which helped me to give a new colur to this blog page…

An Unfinished Journey....

An Unfinished Journey....

..The medico dremzs

(A Confessional novel by a noble professional)

Welcome to the introductory version of 'An unfinished journey' ..based on the real life stories of budding doctors of various medical colleges of India. Well, you can say it as a novel (though I don’t claim it to be! I believe writing a book or novel is not a matter of fun, still while just trying my best to pen down my thoughts, experiences, discoveries as a medicoI realized it was a serious fun! Yeah there are funs which can be serious too and that is discovery!)..... Neither am I a celebrity nor a professional writer, I am a doctor…as a matter of fact going to be the one if my teachers retain faith in my abilities and that is why I am more bothered about their opinion about my writing abilities, as writing for them is few words scribbled on the prescription pad- fewer the better! For them less work, for patients less expenditures- a win-win situation. On a serious note, this is the first time i m trying my hands on such a big canvas, earlier I had written many short stories and poems in Hindi, Oriya and English ..but it is really an arduous job to write a long story in the form of a book and that also maintaining a proper balance between the small small plots....so you can say I am novice in this field....so i myself donot know upto what extent i'll be able to represent the inside story of medico life....
One thing i want to say you may discover yourself in any part of the story..and there is nothing to be surprised..because it is story of a medico guys/gals like you...
so i need your constructive guidence, suggestions so that i'll be able to improve myself...hope after reading this demo version u will give me your valuable suggestions....so that i'll be able to correct myself if I am wrong in any way....

Inspirations..

First inspiration..

It is inspiration which helps us to create some thing meaningful and wonderful....
I am greatly influenced by “Five point some one” written by Chetan Bhagat and his magical way of representing lifes of IITIANS in a funny way along with their emotions…
..And no way I want any comparison with him because I am a beginner in this field and stories of ‘An unfinished journey’ are 100% different in their way of representation ….

I am really grateful to...

Dr.Hirak Das,(Dept. Of Anatomy,Gauhati med. College,Guwahati,Assam) for his valuable suggestions and pointing out my mistakes utilizing his precious time,

Mr.Abhishek kumar(O&P),CRC,Guwahati med.college campus;for his advice and tips while writing. I am greatly influenced by his writing skills and funny ways of representing any incidence.

PROLOGUE...

According to the human society we are the second GOD; whose divine touch can bring rays of hope and gaiety in the life of the poor and the devasted one.A lonely walker with smile on his face and heart filled with self confidence tries to save the most valuable thing of this universe called ‘life’. But sometimes he fails!! Still people believe in them. Believe in the miracles of their hand. They eagerly wait for their divine touch. One of the noblest profession of this world….people called them doctors.

But this second GOD has also his own dreams, pain ,loneliness and above all human features and feelings but without having any supernatural power. Before attaining the position of the second GOD he faces a lot of suffering and turmoil. He has thousands of agonies buried deep inside his heart. Who knows that?Sometimes his colorful dreams get ruined, frustration surrounds him. Even sometimes he feels as if he is alone in this big world and there is no one around him to give a helping hand.

‘An unfinished journey’ is merely a representation of medico life through a medico guy called ‘Nikhil’ and his friends. It represents the journey of a teen aged boy from a small town to a big city, the city and its people were completely unknown to him. The boy although seemed to be silent but was a keen observer of everything. He has come across life style of major cities of the country called India. He sometimes astonished why he feels much more than any other common guys. Being a medico he was well acquainted with what according to the society is pain and suffering. He knew very well the values of relations, because in the pages of his life he has lost many of his friends for ever. A strong believer of friendship, whose friendship has no boundaries.

This story is merely a fiction. If any one discovers himself/herself in any part of this story. There is nothing to be astonished. After all this is the representation of medico dreams through Nikhil’s eye…
